Web 2.0 Expo: Liveblogging day 3 - April 17, 2007
I missed out on this morning keynotes (dang real work!), but Fred attended. John Battelle interviewed Eric Schmidt, chairman of Google. I’m looking forward to hearing Fred’s take on the session.
One thing that’s struck me is how global the show attendees are. In my first session the speaker, Kelly Goto, asked for a show of hands for different geographical areas. Out of the two to three hundred folks in the session, roughly 20% were West Coast, another 20% East Coast, and about 10-15% from the Midwest. Then she asked for international - that contingent made up 30%, easily. Lots of different languages here, and not just the usual suspects. I’ve heard quite a few Swedes, Germans, and Russians.
Up next, more on Microformats with John Allsopp, who’s Australian, BTW.
